Archer & Serafini smash club records

The past 10 days saw several Heathsiders smashing club records and running big PBs on the track and the road. Perhaps the outstanding results were Thomas Archer’s 8:38 in the 3000, a new club U17 record, and Rosa Serafini’s 4:29 1500, also a club record, both at the Watford Graded Open. Others included Seyfu Jamaal’s 31:04 PB in the Asics London 10k, Sion Lewis’s 16:11 5000m PB in Milton Keynes, Izaiah Turner’s 34.87 javelin PB in Allianz Park and Tynan Parkers U13 800 m 2:24 PB in Kingston.

This terrain is not for the faint hearted when it comes to navigating across it, however the views will take your breath away.

Thomas Archer was in 10th place at the bell in the final of the IB 1500m but kicked strongly to overtake 5 runners finishing on 5th place.  However with all the other runners a year older Thomas can hopefully go better next year

Cockings Conquers Comrades

The Glorious Heathside made their usual trip to Walthamstow track for Orion’s FastFriday, with a slightly smaller than usual contingent representing. Thankfully we always have good supporting with a decent Heathside crew huddled in lane 3 with beer and prosecco yelling at us as we lapped the dreaded rat wheel for 25 laps.
