Read MoreIt was a pretty quiet bank holiday weekend (racing-wise) as marathon season draws to an end and there is a shift to shorter races and track and field. Many Heathsiders took the opportunity to head to Sandy Balls for the annual club Training Weekend in the beautiful New Forest for a mix of running, cycling and swimming. The main racing event for Heathside at the weekend was the first MYAL of the season in Perivale where a well earned second place was secured. And Sara Black did well in a Half Ironman in Marbella coming second in age.

Read MoreThis week’s big report is, of course, on the London Marathon. The Heathside winners’ trophies went to James Hurrell who ran a PB of 2:28:42 and Sarah Swinhoe, who, in her 53rd year, ran a time of 2:55:23, the second fastest V50 marathon in the UK this year.
