Met League Cross Country #2, Horsenden Hill, 9.11.24


The second race of the 2024 Met League Cross Country season took place at Horsenden Hill, where the club had good results across the board ; among some fine individual top 15 performances there was an overall team 2nd place for U11 Girls, 3rd for the Senior Women, Junior Women, & U11 Boys, plus 4th for the Junior and Senior Men,s teams

”  London Heathside had a commendable showing in the race, with several athletes making notable contributions:
  Sam Turner (MU17/15 Category) – Finished a fine 4th place in the Junior Mens Race.-
 Alexander Panchal (MU11 Category) - Finished 5th overall with a time of 43:00.
 Samuel Graham (MU11 Category) - Placed 7th with a time of 41:00.
Samuel's consistent pace throughout the race earned him a well-deserved spot in the top 10.
 Michael Schofield (MU11 Category) - Finished 21st with a time of 27:00. Michael's effort contributed to the team's overall score

 Rebecca and Barry – Were the first senior Heathsiders over the finish, showcasing their leadership and determination.

 Team Results
 London Heathside's team performed admirably, securing a 2nd place in the U11G, 3rd place finish in the Senior Women, Junior Women, MU11 categories. The team's collective effort and determination were evident throughout the race.


 Conclusion
 London Heathside's athletes demonstrated strong performances at the Met League Cross Country Race at Horsenden Hill. With notable finishes
from Sam Turner, Alexander Panchal, Samuel Graham, and Michael Schofield, the club showcased its depth and talent. The leadership of
Sarah and Tom was instrumental in guiding the team to a commendable finish.”

Issy, Millie and Amaya all put in great performances to help their school finish 2nd in the Senior Girls race at the North London Regional Final of the English Schools XC Cup.  They will now compete in the final in Leeds on 7th December.
