This week’s report covers the southern cross-country championships in Beckenham and the BMAF indoor pentathlon in Sheffield.

SEAA South of England Cross Country Championships, Beckenham Palace Park, 25.1.25
There was a big turnout for the Southerns cross-country championships in Beckenham last Saturday. In the juniors races, congratulations go to Filip Kounoupas Prastalo who finished first in the U13 boys race, with the U13 and U15 girls finishing 11th and 14th respectively, whilst the U13 and U15 boys finished 22nd and 18th respectively. In the women races, the senior women finished fourth overall, led by Katie Brown in 25th position. The U20 and U17 women finished fifth and sixth respectively. In the mens races, the senior and U17 men finished 8th and 15th respectively, with Samuel Macaulay (53rd) leading the men home.

BMAF Indoor Pentathlon - Sheffield 26 Jan 2025
Three Heathsiders were in Sheffield last weekend to take part in the British Masters indoor pentathlon, comprising 60M hurdles. hong jump, shot put, high jump and 1000M. A special mention goes to Adrian Essex for finishing first in his age category in each of the events whilst Ivan Ross finished second in the 60M hurdles.
