The week’s events were dominated by the Club’s performances at the Middlesex Track & Field County championships, where no less than 19 Gold Medals and 34 medals in total were secured, There was also a competitive performance from the Vets at the first Vet League outing of the season

A busy week with the first MYAL successfully hosted are Finsbury Park with high level Para Athletics at Coventry and UYDL action from a freezing Woodford. Elsewhere Chris Hartley set a new V60 5km club record and Peter Gould set a very fast time at the Boston Marathon (Boston Lincolnshire that is)

As many Heathsiders are tapering now in preparation for the London Marathon this weekend, it was quietish on the race front, but some excellent results from the Manchester and Rochester Marathons and the Reading Half. There were four sub 3 hour results at Manchester and one at Rotterdam. There was also a 10K in Little Bromley, and some late results from the Thames Towpath 10, and the Folkestone 10 where Jackie and Martin both came first in their age groups, and Martin broke the V55 club record for the distance.
