The main events this week were the Southern League T&F, Cian O’Donnell’s participation at the British Athletics Championships , and a win for Andy Barnes at the QE 10K. In addition there was a big turnout at the Heathside 5K Handicap race, and Seyfu Jamaal set a course record at Highbury parkrun

Read MoreIt was a pretty quiet bank holiday weekend (racing-wise) as marathon season draws to an end and there is a shift to shorter races and track and field. Many Heathsiders took the opportunity to head to Sandy Balls for the annual club Training Weekend in the beautiful New Forest for a mix of running, cycling and swimming. The main racing event for Heathside at the weekend was the first MYAL of the season in Perivale where a well earned second place was secured. And Sara Black did well in a Half Ironman in Marbella coming second in age.
