ESAA Track and Field Champs, SAL #3, Saucony London 10K

The English Schools Athletics Association (ESAA) Track and Field Championships, took place in Birmingham and is one of the largest athletics meetings in the world. There was good representation from Heathside, and congratulations go to Elkie Baker who won silver in the discus! Congratulations also go to Seyfu Jamaal who came in first place in the Saucony London 10K. Night of the 5000’s, Triffic Trail, & Ultra 55K

While many eyes were on Finsbury Park for the Night of the 5000’s, which produced a great evening’s competition, there were other races involving club members, including success at the Ultra Trail 55K race around London through Steve Pennington ; a number of Heathsiders participated in the Trent Park Triffic Trail 10K race where some picked up age category awards, while Andy Barnes ran a fast 10K as part of the road championships at Richmond

Senior Women EA Marathon Team Champions

This week features our Senior Women England Team Marathon Champions (Rebecca Bunting, Rebecca Piggott and Sarah Swinhoe) receiving their medals from Club Chairman Jerry Odlin. Helena Stone recording another PB in the T63 100m and James Hurrell 4th in the Serpentine Last Friday of the month race.
